My husband is from a small town in Australia:  Yarrawonga, Victoria (we met in Banff, but that is a whole other story). We moved to Australia Christmas 2009 and lived in Geelong, Victoria until the Summer of 2011. During that time, we were able to explore a small bit of the beautiful country. One of the first trips we made was to Fraser Island, the largest sand island in the world. This trip will always remain in my head as my first encounter with Paradise. The beauty of Fraser Island was unlike any other destination I have ever been privileged to see – it helped that we had perfect weather and I didn’t have to change out of my bikini the whole time! We swam in lakes that were crystal clear. We saw wild dingoes, turtles, lizards, and more. I can’t talk about Fraser Island without a look of bliss overtaking my face! One day, I hope to return there, but in the meantime, I have my photos that will remind me of the amazing time I had taking in the beauty and wonder of nature.

This is just a snippet of the photos that I took…no doubt I’ll be posting more as I go through them.
