While my focus is photographing people, I love to keep on my toes by shooting anything and everything. So this is a place to share with you some of the things I do outside of portraits and weddings.
I’ve been lucky to be part of SilverFish Photography Collective since 2005. This has been such a big part of keeping my creative juices flowing that I even attended meetings via Skype when I was in Australia for a year and a half. We’re a group of a dozen photographers who meet once or twice a month. We discuss photography, drink wine, and digress (ok…we mostly digress). We enjoy each other’s company. And we exhibit our work on a regular basis.
The group agrees on a theme and then we each create photograph based on that theme. It’s such a diverse group and always interesting to see how each person interprets the central theme. We’re in the process of building a website and Facebook group and I’ll be sure to link them here. To start I’ve included my work from two SilverFish exhibitions: Up Close and Personal and Unavailable Light.
For our next exhibit Islands we head to my hometown of Grand Manan. The exhibit opens on June 29 at the Grand Manan Art Gallery.
